Tools
Stitch markers (2), removable marker (1), tapestry needle, stitch holder or waste yarn, a thread of smooth yarn in a color similar to the main body (this is used to sew the rib folded inward)

Gauge (after blocking)
22 stitches & 30 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Slip stitch pattern with US 8 (5 mm) needle and 2 strands held together
40 stitches & 60 rows (actual knitted rows (twice as many rows as what are visible)) = 4” / 10 cm for the shoulder panel with US 5 (3.75 mm) needle and 2 strands held together
24 stitches & 32 rows = 4” / 10 cm in 1 x 1 Rib with US 5 (3.75 mm) needle and 2 strands held together

Note
This is a sweater worked from the top down with silk mohair yarn held double throughout the pattern. Shoulder panels are worked first. When stitches are picked up, the upper front and back are worked flat separately to the underarm. Then, the front and back are joined and worked in the round to the hem. Sleeve stitches are picked up around armhole and worked in the round toward cuff. Slip stitches are worked throughout the pattern, and for the body where it is worked flat, the 6-row Slip stitch pattern is repeated. The starting row varies in size.

全て2本どりで編むトップダウンのセーター. 肩パネルから編み始め, 目を拾い身頃上部は前後それぞれ往復編みで脇下まで編む. 前後身頃を繋げて裾まで輪で編む. 袖はアームホールから目を拾い, 袖口へ向かって輪で編む. 全体にすべり目をしながら, 身頃の往復編みはすべり目模様6段を繰り返しながら編む. サイズによって開始段数が異なる.
