Nemo is named after the little fish from the Disney movie “Finding Nemo” because the texture of broken seed stitch reminds me of fish scales. The combination of different stitch patterns brings a lot of knitting fun and will take you through this knit in no time. Due to its set-in sleeve construction Nemo provides a great and comfy fit your little one will love.

The completely seamless sweater is knitted top-down beginning with a provisional cast-on. The shoulders are shaped with short rows. After the back (knitted flat) is completed the fronts are worked separately (each knitted flat). Both sides of the front are then joined and the front is knitted top-down (and flat) to the underarm. The back and front are joined in the round for the body and the stitch pattern changes from garter stitch to super-easy but effective broken seed stitch where the second color is added. The body is worked top-down in the round to the hem. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armhole. The sleeve cap is shaped with short-rows. When the sleeve cap is completed the sleeve is knitted top-down in the round to the cuff.

Der kleine Fisch Nemo aus dem Disney Film “Findet Nemo” ist der Namensgeber für diesen Kinderpulli, da die Struktur des Strickmusters an Fischschuppen erinnert. Die Kombination von verschiedenen Mustern bringt so viel Abwechslung und Spaß beim Stricken, dass Nemo im Nu fertig wird. Kinder lieben die bequeme Passform dank der eingesetzten Ärmel mit Armkugelrundung.

Der komplett nahtlose Pulli wird von den Schultern abwärts bis zum Bündchen gestrickt und beginnt mit einem provisorischen Maschenanschlag. Die Schultern werden mit verkürzten Reihen geformt. Nachdem die rückwärtige Passe (in Hin- und Rückreihen) fertig gestellt ist, werden beide Vorderteile (ebenfalls in Hin- und Rückreihen) gestrickt. Nachdem beide Vorderteile verbunden wurden, wir die vordere Passe fertig gestellt. Das Muster wechselt von kraus rechts zu raffiniertem, aber sehr einfach zu strickendem Broken Seed Stitch, sobald das Vorder- und Rückteil verbunden und die Strickarbeit zur Runde geschlossen wurde. Für die Ärmel werden Maschen entlang des Armlochs aufgenommen und die Armkugel wird mit verkürzten Reihen geformt. Die Ärmel werden nahtlos glatt rechts in Runden bis zum Bündchen gestrickt.
