Neapolitana shawl
The sample as shown was knitted from a Yarnz2go knit kit HERE
The colors in this shawl remind me of Neapolitan ice cream sandwiches I used to love as a child, so I figured that’s a fine name for this beauty.
This crescent shape is knitted from the top down, first in simple stockinette stitches with pretty eyelet edges growing the shawl. Two lovely lace patterns followed by an easy garter stitch border round this project up beautifully.
The pattern is fully written and has charts for both lace sections.
The blocked size is 17” in middle height and 72” in overall length along the bottom border.
Yarn used here
C1 and 3: 1 skein each of Organic cotton in two contrasting colors with 125 yards each in a DK weight.
C2: 1 skein of Delicate, wound to order in a sport weight yarn. There are three colors in as many strands of yarn in each skein in a blend of cotton, linen and rayon. 220 yards in total.
The knit kits are available at www.yarnz2go.com
