> Navy Cloud Cowl
Navy Cloud Cowl
This cowl is designed to be the kind soft, fluffy accessory that you’d reach for on a cold day when the clouds outside are navy blue.
I’ve used Hobbii Summer cloud to make the cowl pictured. Information is given for how to make the cowl with 2, 3, or 4 balls, and can be easily adapted to use your chosen yarn. I like this yarn because it has a lovely halo, which shows in the open stitch work in this design.
This design is suitable for a beginner, and a chart is included for additional support. I used a size 7mm crochet hook, but you could easily go up or down a size depending on your tension. This pattern is worked in the round. US crochet terminology is used throughout. The following stitches are used:
SS – Slip stitch
Ch – Chain stitch
HDC – Half Double Crochet
DC – Double Crochet
3DC – 3 Double Crochet together
DC3tog – Double Crochet 3 together
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about the pattern and I will do my best to help out. I would love to see photos of pieces you’ve created using this pattern.
