Nautical slouchy hat
The nautical part of the pattern was inspired by Knitting Stitches Encyclopedia by Elena Petrova.
I decided to only make one size as it can be placed at different depths on the head due to the large double brim.
I used a 3US 16” circular needle to get the gauge I suggest that whatever size needle you require for gauge should be used.
I used Woolike loops and threads which has 678 yds.I believe I have enough yarn to make 1 more hat. I also chose it for laundry reasons. However, I believe that it would knit up well in any fiber natural or otherwise.
I worked the top of the crown on 2 circulars, but double- points would work equally well. The pattern is made up of chart and written pattern. It has a 16st repeat.
