I used acrylic yarn but this pattern calls for cotton yarn for more durability

Hook: US Size 6mm
Yarn Needle, Scissors, Measuring Tape

Stitch Key
Ch = Chain
Hdc = Half Double Crochet
Dc = Double Crochet st
Tr - Treble Crochet
YO = Yarn over

Notes
The pattern is worked in rows
Ch1 does not count as st at the beginning of each row
Ch 2 at the beginning of the row does count as 1st st
You can work this pattern with one color or multiple as you wish- I used 1 solid color
This pattern uses pattern repeats
This pattern uses multiples of 4+2
