‘Nanuk’ the Polar Bear lovey was completely designed with the yarn in mind to create the most snuggliest lovey ever. Although I made him in James Brett Flutterby, if that’s not a yarn you can get hold of here are some alternatives that you could try:

• Lion Brand Chenille Chunky Yarn Bernat
• Pipsqueak Chunky Yarn
• Sidar Snuggly Snowflake Chunky

All my patterns feature both UK and US stitch terminology

Yarn:

100g of chenille / chenille like super soft chunky yarn
(Yarn weight #5)

5g of pink double knit cotton
Scraps of black double knit cotton
(8ply / yarn weight #3)

Hook: 4 mm (US size G) & 5 mm (US size H)

You will also need:

Yarn needle
Stitch markers
Polyester toy stuffing
