Nanalan Mona Doll
This crochet pattern is for a Mona doll, that wonderful girl from Nanalan’! This doll is large - roughly 15 inches tall. Ours is made from acrylic yarn, but she’d be so cute and huggable in blanket!
NOT A BEGINNER PATTERN
An original pattern by Fat Lady Crochet. Please note this is a crochet pattern, not the finished physical item.
This easy crochet pattern is written in US terms and is designed for crocheters with a solid understanding of simple crochet, and who don’t mind a little bit of sewing. Lots of photos are included to help you along the way.
You will need:
• 200 grams each #4 worsted weight yarn in Light Lime Green, Raspberry, White
• 15 grams #4 worsted weight yarn in Black
• Crochet hooks: G 4.00 mm, H 5.00 mm
• Tapestry needle
• Fiber Fill
• Stitch marker
Notes
• Aside from the eyes, Mona is worked using 2 strands of yarn held together.
• 1 strand size 5 bulky yarn could be substituted for 2 strands of worsted weight yarn. Imagine her in blanket yarn!
• Mona’s Legs, Body and Head are worked in one piece.
• Mona is worked in continuous rounds from the bottom up.
• Mona’s Skirt, Arms, and Eyes are worked separately and sewn on.
• The finished piece is approximately 15 inches tall.
