My Nana loves the water. I wanted to make her something that she could use and would be in harmony with her life. I know it can get really windy by the water and chilly too, and so this cowl was born. It is perfect for those morning walks on the beach when you just need a little something to keep out the wind.

There are beads in the lace surrounding the face and in the edging. You can use as many beads as you like. I’ve included a technique sheet for reaming the beads as you go.

The eight page pattern is both charted and written out so you can choose which way you prefer to knit it.

You can try the cowl on before putting the edging on if you would like more length.

The edging is knit-on while the piece is still on the needle; thus allowing for a practically seamless piece.

If you don’t use the Ruca; I suggest using something with a nice drape.
