Yarn: Yarn A: Qing Fibre Merino Singles (fingering/ 4-ply weight; 100% superwash Merino wool; 366m / 400yds per 100g skein)
Shade: Soft Grey; 5 skeins
OR approx. 1528m / 1671 yds
Yarn B: Ocean By the Sea Halo (lace weight; 72% mohair, 28% silk; 420m / 459yds per 50g skein)
Shade: Madd Dreams; 2 skeins
OR approx. 800m / 875yds

Gauge: 27 sts & 23 rows = 10cm / 4” over honeycomb pattern (rows 3-10 of Chart) with 2 strands of yarn A and 1 strand of yarn B held together, on 5.5mm needles after blocking.
26 sts & 20 rows = 10cm / 4” over chevron cable pattern (rows 47-54 of Chart) on 5.5mm needles after blocking.

Needles: 5.5mm / US 9 knitting needles.
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notions: Stitch marker (optional), cable needle, crochet hook (for adding fringe)

Notes: Naea is knitted from end to end in a repeating honeycomb and chevron cable pattern. The first st of each row is slipped pwise wyif throughout. You may find it helpful to use a marker to indicate the centre point of the scarf. Fringe is applied once the scarf is complete.
