Mykiss
Mykiss is a sibling pattern to Rainbow Trout – they both feature the same stitch pattern representative of fish scales
Mykiss is written for DK and Worsted weight yarns, with both being written for 2 sizes (child and adult). The cowl is designed to either be looped twice around the neck snugly, or a single time for relaxed wear.

The pattern has you casting on and working a ribbed edging.

The Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) is a species of freshwater fish, introduced to New Zealand waterways in the 1800’s.
In modern times we find Rainbow Trout in our Central North Island, and also following the length of the Southern Alps mountain range in the South Island, where it is caught by recreational fishers.
