Mushroom Mitts
These mitts came to life like many others have, out of need for a new pair for one of my boys. They were inspired by the woods around us, for the love of fungi and for the Fall that turns both of these things into something quite magical. -Ashley
Materials
1 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2 skein in Brooklyn Tweed Shelter 100% wool yarn; Worsted weight; 140 yds, 50g, or, approx 40 60, 70, 90, 110, 130, 140, 160 yds of worsted weight yarn.
Toadstool Mitt shown in Fossil, Woodsmoke, or Caribou. Morel Mitt shown in Caribou.
1 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1 skein in Brooklyn Tweed Quarry 100% wool yarn; Bulky weight; 200 yds, 100g, or, approx 20 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 yds of bulky weight yarn for Toadstool, or, approx 30 40, 60, 70, 90, 110, 130, 150 yds of bulky weight yarn for Toadstool.

US 3/3.25mm, DPNs or size needed to obtain gauge
Tapestry needle
Stitch markers
Waste yarn or stitch holder
Sizes
0-3m 6-12m, 2/3y, 4/5y, 6/7y, 8/10y, adult sm, adult med, adult lrg.
Gauge
22 sts x 28 row/rnds = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette st
Notes
Instructions are given for smallest size, with larger sizes in parenthesis. When only 1 number is given, it applies to all sizes.
Included are both Toadstool and Morel Mitts.
Included is a thumbed and thumbless option for sizes 0-3m and 6-
12m. You’ll make this decision once you reach the ‘Body’ section.
The cuff can be worked in 1x1 (k1, p1) or garter stitch. Pick whichever you prefer.
