Original instructions call for 250 grams fine crochet rayon and “Hornstricknadeln Nr. 2” for a finished size 120cm in diameter.

Cast on 12 stitches and repeat the chart 12 times per round for rounds 1-153, rounds 165-171 ninety-six times per round, and round 181-275 twenty-four times per round.

Notice that the section within the bold lines should be repeated the number of times indicated:

• 5 times in rounds 61-69, then 4 times in 71-77
• 5 times in rounds 81-95, then 4 times in 97-105
• 7 times in rounds 109-119, then 6 times in 121-127
• 7 times in rounds 131-143, then 6 times in 145-153 and so on according to the chart.
