Instructions on back of chart sheet, chart Fig. 22A and 22B. Photo is found on the front cover of the published folio (note that the cover photo from the publisher shows Eichel, not Muschel).
Original instructions call for 250 grams fine crochet rayon and “Hornstricknadeln Nr. 2” for a finished size 120cm in diameter.
Cast on 12 stitches and repeat the chart 12 times per round for rounds 1-153, rounds 165-171 ninety-six times per round, and round 181-275 twenty-four times per round.
Notice that the section within the bold lines should be repeated the number of times indicated:
- 5 times in rounds 61-69, then 4 times in 71-77
- 5 times in rounds 81-95, then 4 times in 97-105
- 7 times in rounds 109-119, then 6 times in 121-127
- 7 times in rounds 131-143, then 6 times in 145-153 and so on according to the chart.
