Mum's Granny Square Bag
A colourful granny square bag inspired by my Mum’s patchwork bag from the 70’s.
My blog post is broken down into different sections so that you can make a granny square bag using up yarn stash. I also have an accompanying video on YouTube where I talk you through the steps.
I’ve used loads of DK cotton stash. It’s not all Paintbox DK cotton but perhaps around 75% is. Various colours are used dictated by leftover yarn scraps and random balls etc. A list of closely matching colors is listed.
The bag measures approx. 36 x 49 cm not including handles. Each square measures 12cm corner to corner, measured across the diagonal.
The pattern is a recipe style and includes a chart for granny square layout and there are links to component parts (all my own) and video tutorials for Join As You Go, lining and how to attach the handles.
