TECHNIQUES USED IN THIS PATTERN
Links to videos for selected techniques are included. I look for videos as close as possible to the instructions I have written. Sometimes they may be slightly different but still very helpful.

  • Cast-on
  • Bind-off
  • Stockinette stitch
  • Reverse Stockinette stitch
  • 1 x 1 ribbing
  • Three needle bind-off
  • Pick-up and knit stitches
  • Weave seams row to row

Regardless of actual body measurements, everyone prefers a different finished look. It is helpful to use the FINISHED GARMENT MEASUREMENTS, from the chart on photos, which refers to this specific garment only. It can help you choose the look you prefer

YARN USED FOR SAMPLE

  • Berroco Yarns—Pure Merino
  • 100% extra fine merino wool
  • 1.75 ounces-(50 grams)—92 yards-(84 m) each ball
  • 17(19 - 21 - 25) balls

For your pullover to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important. It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase

FOR A SUBSTITUTE YARN

SUGGESTED NEEDLE SIZING
- Size 7-(4.5 mm) and 9-(5.5 mm) straight needles—size 6-(4 mm) circular needle 16 inches-(40.5 cm) long
Five size 9-(5.5 mm) or smaller double pointed needles or five stitch holders
or size needles to obtain the correct gauge

NOTIONS

  • Gauge ruler
  • Yarn markers - number 10 crochet thread in a contrasting color is great for yarn markers
  • Tapestry needle

GAUGE
- 18 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches-(10 cm) on size 9-(5.5 mm) needles or size needles to obtain the correct gauge
