A shawl with a shawl collar. I named this after Ellenor Fenn, a children’s author who wrote under the pen names Mrs Lovechild and Mrs Teachwell. She lived in the 18th century but had very modern ideas about the care of children.

The body of the shawl is worked from the top down. The lace edging is knitted lengthwise and sewn around the bottom edge, and stitches are picked up around the neck edge for the collar. The shawl is worked with two strands of yarn held together.
