There are many and varied tellings of the Nutcracker story. In some of them, one describes the Mouse King as an evil character, who summons up an army of mice to do battle with The Nutcracker.

My own version of this classic tale sees the joyful Mouse King place healing hands on The Nutcracker, mending his injury and releasing the Prince within…

Mouse King is seamless in construction. There is very limited sewing up required! The robe is worked separately and stitched in place on completion, along with the crown and tail. This is a 7 page pattern with many clear helpful photographs, and tutorial.

Produce your own ballet! Create the other characters!
Here is The Nutcracker.
And the delicate Clara Doll is available too!
