The design for this blanket was inspired by my best friend. When I found out she was pregnant, I wanted to create a special blanket to celebrate her baby boy. The nursery theme she chose was mountains. I wanted to create a simple blanket with a small pattern repeat that could be easily memorised and meditative to make. This blanket is made with two different Tunisian stitches and a crochet border. The perfect project for someone who is new to Tunisian crochet!

Baby/Pram/Stroller size (76x91cm / 30x36in):

• 1375m of Light 3 weight / DK / 8 ply / 11 WPI yarn, example shown is made with Bendigo Woollen Mills 100% Cotton 8 ply (485m/200g)
• 6mm (US J/10) Tunisian crochet hook (or size needed to obtain gauge) with 80cm (32in) cable
• Gauge: 18 sts and 21 rows = 10x10cm in Tunisian knit stitch

Throw size (127x152cm / 50x60in):

• 2700m of Medium 4 weight / Aran / 10 ply / 8 WPI yarn, such as Bendigo Woollen Mills Luxury 10 ply 100% Wool (300m/200g) 10mm (US N/15)
• Tunisian crochet hook (or size needed to obtain gauge) with 120cm (47in) cable
• Gauge: 11 sts and 13 rows = 10.2x10.3cm in Tunisian knit stitch

The pattern is suitable for a beginner and includes written instructions (both right and left handed), charts (both right and left handed), and video tutorials for the stitches used (Tunisian knit stitch, Tunisian reverse stitch, half double slip stitch).
