PATTERN STITCH other NOTES
• This vest is knit circularly from the front center (with a steek) up to armholes. Sts are put on hold for underarm and steeks are created to allow to continue working in the round until shoulders are 3-needle bound-off (or grafted) together. Steeks are cut. Armholes are finished with MC and k1p2k1 ribbing. Sts are picked up along front edges, back neck to work the corrugated rib using only MC and CC1.
• Corrugated Rib worked in the round – k1 contrast, p2 MC, k1 contrast rep around
• Optional in-set pocket directions are given at the appropriate point of the pattern. Please see close-up of pocket on page 5.
• Simplest Button-Hole (worked in band) – where BH will be, k2tog, yo … YO becomes the buttonhole
• Directions for different sizes are given in ( )s; when only one number it applies to all sizes
• Colorwork is charted. If you would like digitized copies of the charts, please email me and I will send those right out.
• NOTE: when working the contrast bands (shown in the sample as the cream/blue), MC = CC6 and CC = CC7

BEFORE starting any knitting project, but especially with colorwork and steeks and other techniques with which you may not be familiar, READ THRU THE ENTIRE PATTERN to ensure you understand what the designer is telling you.
