Mosswood Lane
Mosswood Lane hat is a beanie style. It has a double brim which is started with a provisional cast on, which is knitted together with the live stitches to create the double brim. If you have not tried this before, I have included a link to a video to which shows step-by-step instructions. I would really encourage you to give it a go, but you can do a traditional cast on if you would prefer.
It is the perfect knit for busy knitters who are juggling a job, home, and family. You want something you don’t need to concentrate on too much in the evenings as you don’t have much mind space left at the end of the day. But the inclusion of a variegated yarn creates interest and still makes it an addictive knit. Just one more round, just one more round! This is the chunky version, so it will knit up quite quickly, which makes it perfect for last minute gifts too.
The main sample was knitted using Stylecraft Bellissima Chunky in Mischievous Mink with Stylecraft Amor in Dusk. It was knitted in the large size, with the slouchy version of the crown.
An alternative sample used the colourway Sugar Snap for the main colour with Meadow for the contrasting variegated yarn in the medium size with the slouchy crown.
