This chunky open cardigan is so simple and easy that even beginner knitters can create their own wardrobe.

CONSTRUCTION:
The cardigan is constructed in separate pieces which are then seamed together. This helps it maintain its shape at the shoulders more than a seamless version would.

SIZE:
This is an oversize knit, measurements are given from 71cm/28inch chest up to 157cm/62inch chest. Ease is approximately 10cm/4inches.

The finished sweater in size is approximately 52cm (20inches) long but length can be added to the body sections if you don’t want a cropped version.

MATERIALS:
Super Bulky Yarn (size 6). The sweater can be made in loose-knit cotton for a Spring or Autumn cover up, or why not order some luxurious chunky merino yarn to create a winter woolly that everyone will be envious of?

12mm knitting needles (US size 17). 12mm (size 17) 60cm circular needle for the collar, this can also be used to knit the main pieces if you prefer to work on circular needles.

Scissors, measuring tape, pins or stitch markers and a Tapestry needle.

GAUGE: 9 stitches x 14 rows = 10x10cm (4x4inches) in moss/seed stitch, using 12mm needles.
