Mosaic Socks
Ankle, standard or knee length - this showstopper crochet sock pattern is sure to keep you cosy whichever length you choose! Using the overlay mosaic crochet technique you can create complicated looking socks with the simplest of stitches.
Working from the toe up with an afterthought heel (added after you make the sock) you can make these adult socks in two sizes and any length you like!
What’s Included
An 8-page PDF including written pattern in US crochet terms.
Pattern support of you need or would like it.
Mosaic crochet charts for each section of the sock.
Full written pattern if you prefer not rot work from charts.
Difficulty is intermediate.
Materials and tools:
Hook: 3mm (C/D) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
Suggested Yarn: West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4ply
4ply (75% wool, 25% nylon, 100g/400m)
1 ball of each:
A: Hydrangea (335)
B: Bluebell Mist (1022)
C: Honeysuckle (234)
Sizing:
Socks measure 20 (21.5) cm in circumference around the foot.
To fit UK shoe size 3-5 (6-8). In ankle, standard and knee length.
Gauge:
24 sts and 28 rounds measure 10 x 10cm (4x4in) in mosaic pattern using a 3mm hook, or size needed to obtain correct tension.
