Knitkabob, our yarn shop in northeastern Oregon, opened on March 14, 2013. This year, 2018, is our fifth anniversary, and to celebrate celebrate we joined the Slow Yarn Crawl and designed this shawl. The shawl starts with 5 stitches, comes in 5 parts, and uses 5 skeins of Queensland Collection’s United. The sample is done in our store colors.

Two of the five sections are colorwork, but it’s an easy mosaic colorwork pattern. In each of these rows, you’ll be knitting with just one color.

Difficulty Level: Intermediate

Size: 91 inches long and 71 inches wide

Yarn: 250 grams of fingering weight yarn, in three colors.
Color A - 50 grams
Color B - 100 grams
Color C - 100 grams
(The sample uses Queensland Collection’s United, with 251 yards in 50 grams.)

Needle: US 6 (4.0 mm) 32 inch circular needle

Gauge: 18 stitches and 38 rows in a 4 inch square in blocked garter (Gauge is not critical. The mosaic sections might want to pull in just a bit, but you can overcome that with blocking.)
