Mosaic roads is a simple colorwork cowl worked in the round. It’s a double wrap cowl. Slipstitch knitting is one of ways to play with combining colors, and is a simple technique for beginners who are attempting colorwork for the first time.
The pattern is created by slipping stitches from the stripe below without working them. The eyelets pattern is simple, easy to memorize and make this cowl special.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
52” / 132 cm total circumference
14” / 36 cm height (after blocking)

Sport to DK weight yarn in 3 different colors:
Main Color (lilac) - approx. 318 yards / 290 m
Contrast Color 1 (yellow-green) - approx. 159 yards / 145 m
Contrast Color 2 (blue) - approx. 159 yards / 145 m

SUGGESTED YARN
Road to China light by The Fibre Co. (65% alpaca, 15% silk, 10% camel, 10% cashmere; 159 yards / 145 m / 50 g)
Main Color - 2 skeins Ametrine (lilac)
Contrast Color 1 - 1 skein Peridot (yellow-green)
Contrast Color 2 - 1 skein Sapphire (blue)

TOOLS
• US 4 (3.5 mm) circular needle, or adjust needle size as necessary to obtain correct gauge
• US 6 (4.0 mm) circular needle, or adjust needle size as necessary to obtain correct gauge
• Marker
• Tapestry needle

The cowl is worked in the round from the bottom up.
