Morning Echo
The clean lines of this fitted cardigan are emphasised by waist shaping darts, and the lace bands are continued around the neck shaping to be joined at the back of the neck. Throw on this cozy sweater to warm yourself up on chilly mornings!
This cardigan is designed to be worn with 0-2” of negative ease. Size 28” shown modeled with 2” of negative ease.
A note from the designer on gauge: The first sample was originally knit with Rowan Calmer (blue version) on US 6 (4mm) needles for Yarn Forward magazine. Although Calmer is listed as a worsted weight yarn, the elastic content makes it behave a little differently from a standard worsted.
The second sample was knit in Sweet Paprika Minuet (green version) on US 4 (3.5mm) needles. This is a DK weight yarn which is what I would recommend unless you are using Calmer. Depending on the weight of yarn you use, you may need to go up or down a needle size or two to get the correct gauge.
