These intricately patterned mittens are worked in the round. The cuff begns with a Latvian Braid, and the rest of the hand and thumb are worked in stranded colorwork from a chart.
When working the Right and Left Hands Charts, pay attention to the repeat lines; you will be repeating the two stitches within the lines for the required number of stitches on the palm of the hand.

YARN
Kelbourne Woolens Camper (100% wool; 200 yards/50 gm skein): navy heather 412 (MC), natural 105 (CC), 1 skein each.
GAUGE
29 sts and 33 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in stranded colorwork on larger needles, after blocking.
NEEDLES
1 set US 2 (2.75 mm) DPNs.
Check your gauge and adjust needle size accordingly if necessary.
NOTIONS
Darning needle, stitch markers, waste yarn.

8.25” (21 cm) circumference, 11.25” (28.5 cm) height.
