Moonlight Lady
Deep greens and blues are the colors I choose…
Moonlight Lady is a soothing knit that can be picked up any time. The silk-cashmere-wool blend yarn combined with the scalloped lace pattern is a balm for the soul, and results in a lovely rectangular wrap that can be worn as a poncho, scarf, or shawl.
The trim at the edges is designed to allow you to place as many buttons as you like, wherever you like (a photo tutorial shows gives you the how-to for a poncho) . There’s no need to worry about fit, so it makes gift-giving easy whether it’s for others or yourself.
It’s also a great project for those “in between” times when you’re not quite sure what you’d like to knit next but really want to have something on the needles. I found that I could set it aside, come back to it very easily, and completely enjoy the feel of the yarn back in my hands.
Worn with anything from jeans to a skirt, it makes the trip from Stockbridge to Boston as easy as singing a lullaby to your own Sweet Baby James;)
The tilted diamonds lace pattern is both charted and written out.
