As a little girl, I believed the moon followed us on our long car trips to the Jersey shore. In a world without seat belts, I’d lay in the back window of the station wagon and look up in wonder, the moon gliding overhead.

The Moongazing shawl is perfect for chilly nights looking up in awe, perhaps by a beach bonfire or sitting at a rustic farm-to-table dinner.

Knit with DK yarn and airy, expansive eyelets, you can indulge in this shawl and complete it in time to wear this season.

Moongazing features an original two-color eyelet stitch pattern I created to explore how colors interact. It’s your opportunity to use five colors in a sweeping fade with Stockinette stitch transitions that highlight each yarn in turn. The shawl shown in made with luscious Jasper DK from Primrose Yarn Co.
