Montreal Backstreets is a pattern for a clothespin bag: the kind of bag you can find on many balconies in Montreal, hung to the clothesline or right next to it. As a tribute to my childhood memories and the colourful city that I love so dearly, it is crocheted in a bright, colourful cotton with a textured accent border.
This pattern was first published as CGOA’s June CAL. The theme that inspired the design was ‘Colorful home storage’

You can use this bag to store many other things: plastic bags, reusable snack bags or small accessories in your kitchen, hair scarves, belts and accessories in your wardrobe, or anything else you can think of!

Montreal Backstreets is made of 5 pieces that are assembled with a crab stitch border at finishing.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
-Size 7/4.5 mm hook
-COLOR A: 200 g of worsted weight cotton yarn
-COLOR B: 20 g of worsted weight cotton yarn

STITCHES USED:
ch = chain
crab st = crab stitch
hdc = half double crochet
hdc2tog = half double crochet 2 together (decrease)
sl st(s) = slip stitch(es)

FINISHED SIZE: 11” x 14” x 4”

Ruelles de Montréal est un patron pour un sac à épingles à linge. Le genre de sacs qu’on voit un peu partout sur les balcons arrière de Montréal! Je l’ai conçu comme un hommage à cette ville où j’ai grandi et où je vis toujours, une ville colorée et enjouée à l’image des couleurs choisies.
Ce patron a d’abord été publié sur le site web de la Crochet Guild of America, dans le cadre d’un CAL exclusif aux membres.

Vous pouvez utiliser ce sac pour tout autre rangement: sacs de plastique, foulards, accessoires à cheveux, balles de laine… laissez aller votre créativité!

Il est crocheté en 5 morceaux qui sont ensuite assemblés avec une bordure en point écrevisse.
