The name for this shawl comes from the Monticello Dam near my hometown of Winters, CA. I’ve grown up just referring to it as ‘the dam’ but it actually has a name! The sunset colors from my gradient kit remind of the colors that fall over our hills in the evening and along the Monticello Dam.
