The Monroe kjole is a long summer dress with a deep V-neck and buttons on the back that reaches below the knee. It falls loosely around the legs and at the waist. The dress is worked bottom up in rows and the buttonholes are created while knitting. No new stitches are picked up at the neck and armholes. Therefore, neatly finished edge stitches are especially important. It is recommended to iron the edges before wearing so that they do not curl upwards. The dress is designed so that the button band is on the back, but with a shirt underneath it can be worn the other way round. For an extra cool accessory, the dress can also be worn open as a long waistcoat over summer clothes.
Rauma Garn X Witre:
This instruction was created for the collaboration between Witre Design and Rauma Yarn in the spring of 2020. The instruction was first published only in Norwegian in a booklet before being translated into German and English in the summer of 2021. The structure of the text is therefore slightly different from what you might be used to from Witre Design instructions.
