Mondrian Tea Cosy
This pattern is
available from theknitknacks.co.uk
for £2.00.
This pattern was inspired by a recent visit to an art exhibition and I came home feeling excited by using art as inspiration for a project. The pattern is straightforward to knit for a person who has mastered the basics and colours can be adapted to suit personal preferences. I have made the pattern suitable for an average sized teapot.
The wool is used double throughout the pattern to add texture to the product. You will need predominately white yarn for the cosy and stash yarn will probably suffice for the rest of the knitting. I love the feel of the alpaca and the merino and the rich colours they are in.
