Did you know that “hippopotamus” comes from the ancient Greek for “river horse” and that they’re the third largest mammal in our planet?! (Thank you Wikipedia). Since it’d be a little difficult to have such a huge pet, I think you should crochet these and keep them home :)

Little Hippo and mom are fast and a lot of fun to crochet :) The pattern is very easy to follow and has lots of pictures. Plus, you can always write if you have questions.
When I crocheted them, mom ended up being approx. 4.5 inches/11.5 cm tall , and baby approx. 3.5 inches/9 cm.
