Moiety
noun, plural moieties.

1. a half.
2. an indefinite portion, part, or share.
3. Anthropology. one of two units into which a tribe or community is divided on the basis of unilineal descent.

Moiety is made by knitting one triangle, picking up stitches from its edge, and then knitting another triangle. It is a versatile and easy to make shawl.

Throughout February 2017 Moiety was used as a fundraiser for the ACLU. On March 1st, 2017 I donated $153.90 to the ACLU thanks to the help of a fantastic group of Ravelry knitters. Thank you so much to all those who purchased and/or knit Moiety in February!
