The yarn, a lightweight blend of kid mohair and silk, is used double to make an opaque body (no to mention that it knits up faster when double!) and single on large needles for a sheer trim on the lower body, cap sleeves, and neck. the result is a demure top that also looks great by itself.”

Yarn: Fingering weight (#1 Super Fine). Rowan Kid Silk Haze (70% super kid mohair, 30% silk; 229 yd 210 m/25 g): #633 violetta, 5 (5, 6, 6, 7) balls.

Needles:

• Body - U.S. size 6 (4 mm): 24” (60 cm) circular (cir).
• Sleeves and edging - U.S. size 9 (5.5 mm): 24” and 16” (60 and 40 cm) cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); tapestry needle; 10 yards of a smooth sportweight yarn in a matching color for sewing seams.

Additional Gauge: 16 stitches and 30 rows = 4” (10 cm) with double strand of yarn in stockinette stitch on smaller needle, worked in the rnd.

Notes:
