It soon became apparent that so much more could be achieved with the 2 coloured squares if we could speed the process up; get rid of all that sewing up and if we knitted smaller squares too.

The modular metered squares panel was completed using the pattern in this chapter. As you can see it looks beautiful as the front of a cushion cover. Panel was 14” x 14”, so by knitting a plain square of this size for the back and sewing up the edges (with a 14” cushion insert) a cushion can be created.
