Begin knitting a 5½ in (14 cm) long cuff, that will be folded once to hug the wrist nice and tight. The body of the mittens and the thumbs are decorated with a beautiful pattern. A gusset is made to shape the thumb.
The mitten pattern is written for two sizes; womens S/M and L. It is easy to make the mittens smaller or bigger by using smaller or bigger needles than the pattern asks for.
