Miz Brown's Mittens
This pair of mittens features a band of stranded colorwork around the cuff. Traditionally, colorwork patterns like these use a woollen-spun yarn with a sticky texture; this helps fill in any spaces or holes caused by switching yarns. Of course you can substitute any fingering weight yarns and achieve some great effects. -- try a subtle handpaint for the MC and a solid for the CC. Have fun!
