Deep water-filled crevices wind lazily around lofty mountain peaks in Southeast Alaska’s Misty Fjords National Monument. It’s hard to stand in the middle of this raw wilderness and not feel somewhat insignificant. As you might expect, it’s a chilly part of the world, so a pair of warm fingerless mitts is a perfect wardrobe accent.
