Miss C Hat
Sometimes, life brings remarkable people into your path. Some stay in your life forever, and some may only be part of your world temporarily, leaving you forever changed by having known them. When the time comes to say goodbye, how can you possibly express what they have meant to you? For a knitter, the answer is easy – by giving them your time, your work, a piece of yourself to carry with them. A hat to stay warm, a scarf to keep the wind out, or a blanket to snuggle under, each stitch infused with gratitude and love. Miss C Hat is the first instalment of a series conceived, designed, and knit to honour just such a remarkable person in my life.
Miss C is a cable and lace hat, knit in the round from the bottom up. It knits up quickly with a single skein of bulky yarn. The repeating cable and lace motif has both charted and written instructions It is a snug beanie for teens and adults, and has some slouch for children. Instructions for adding more slouch are given in the pattern.
