Mirst was inspired by the most amazing woman, who I have the honor of calling my mom. The sweater’s all over colorwork was inspired by her love of nature and features graceful swans, a forest of trees, snowflakes, an assortment of flowers including lily of the valley and tulips, and some hearts. The original sweater design features 13 colors, so I created a minimalist option as well that can be done with just two colors with an optional third color as an accent.

Mirst is a top-down knitted sweater with a circular yoke that features colorwork and is designed to be worn with 2 to 6 inches (5 to 15 cms) of positive ease at the bust. While the original design calls for 13 different colors of yarn, I have tried to write the charts in a way that I hope encourages you to play around and make it your own, allowing you to use as many or as few colors as you prefer.

For the multicolor, full colorwork sweater:

The multicolor, full colorwork sweater uses Tukuwool Fingering in the following colors: Aava, Haave, Auri, Havu, Taate, Hohka, Selja, Kimo, Kajo, Sake, Syli, Repo, Rohto.

The colorwork yoke sweater uses Tukuwool Fingering in Auri, Snældan Nappað tógv 2tr in Mist, and Juniper Moon Farm Moonshine in Seaside, as an accent on the collar and cuffs.
