Mirkwood Forest
Knit from the top center out, this shallow crescent drapes beautifully knit in A Hundred Ravens Yaksha. The beaded body and edge give the shawl a pleasing weight. The pattern includes two options for beading the edging.
Finished Size:
Small--62” x 17” (157 x 43 cm) after blocking
Large--84” x 20” (213 x 51 cm) after blocking
Materials:
• A Hundred Ravens Yaksha
Small 550 yds (503 m), Large 874 yds (799 m)
• US Size 4 (3.5 mm) 40” (101 cm) or longer circular needle (or size needed to obtain gauge)
• Stitch markers
• Tapestry needle
• 1 mm crochet hook and approx. 186 (302) 6/0 beads and 54 (70) dagger beads (for bind-off on edge)
For alternate beaded edge you will need approx. 212 (275) more 6/0 beads.
Gauge: 23.5 stitches = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette before blocking, 19 sts= 4” (10 cm) after blocking
