Design has instructions to make the hat either flat, from the bottom up, the seamed, or in the round.

If working flat - you will need knitting needles in sizes US 8 (5.0 mm) and US 9 (5.5 mm).

If working in the round, you will need circular needles measuring 16” (40 cm) in both sizes above, as well as a set of double pointed needles in size US 9 (5.5 mm). You will also need a stitch marker.
