Minimal Beanie
It is the basic beanie knitted seamlessly in 1x1 rib. First, the beanie body with brim is worked. Then the beanie crown is shaped with decreases. Finally the crown top is fastened off tightly.
SIZES
S (M, L) to fit head circumference 52-54 (55-57, 58-60) cm / 20-21 (21.5-22.5, 23-23.75)”.
Finished hat circumference at brim 49.5 (52, 55) cm / 19.5 (20.5, 21.5)”.
YARN
2 (2, 2) skeins of Lana Gatto Eco Cashmere (100% cashmere, 150 m/ 50 g). Or 180 (195, 210) m/ 197 (213, 230) yds of similar yarn. Sample shown in color no. 9500.
GAUGE
23 sts х 32 rows = square 10х10 cm in 1x1 rib after blocking.
NEEDLES
2.75 mm (US 2) and 40 cm (16”) circular needle. And long circular needle (80 cm (32”) or longer) or dpns of the same size for knitting small rounds.
Or any size of the circular needle to obtain the gauge.
NOTIONS
5 stitch markers, tapestry needle, blocking tools.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Long tail cast on, knit/purl, left and right leaning decreases, circular knitting, binding off.
