- Fingering weight yarn
Yarn:
Fingering weight; sock: 12 yds/2.5 g of MC and 6 yds/1.25 g of CC, sweater: 28 yds/6 g of MC and 12 yds/2.5g of CC. Samples knit using Marianated Yarns Practicality 75/25.
Needles:
Size US1.5/2.5 mm needles for small circumference knitting. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Gauge:
9 sts and 13 rnds = 1”/2.5 cm in Stockinette stitch in the round.
Notions:
Stitch markers, tapestry needle, spare needle or stitch holder.
Notes
Sweaters are knit from the top down. After you complete the neckline, choose either raglan or circular yoke. Within the circular yoke, you can choose to knit it one color, or add a colorwork pattern on rounds 7-12. For both the raglan and circular yoke, you can choose either a plain or colorwork body.
Socks are knit from the top down. After you complete the cuff, choose either striped or colorwork leg.
