These little knitted mittens are a cute way to decorate your tree for Christmas. This pattern is worked flat on single pointed needles to make it easier for beginner knitters, but you could easily convert it to knitting in the round if you prefer. The hanging loop is a single crochet chain worked on a crochet hook. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the mittens are knitted in acrylic DK yarns.

NEEDLES
A pair of 4mm single pointed knitting needles (US 6)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; a few grammes in Emerald green

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, 4mm crochet hook, and white yarn to embroider the star.

SIZES
One size only - The mitten is 9cm tall (not including the hanging loop).

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, m1 increase and k2tog decrease, and a little seaming to finish.
