3.5mm / US 4 circular needle 40cm / 16in length (or 80cm / 32in length for magic loop)

4mm / US 6 circular needle 40cm / 16in length (or 80cm / 32in length for magic loop)

4mm / US 6 set of DPNs for crown decreases, or longer circular needle for magic loop

One stitch marker (or 7 (8, 9) (10, 11, 12) stitch markers if you wish to mark each repeat).
Tapestry needle
Optional pre-made pompom or pompom-maker to create a pompom from left over yarn.

Gauge

22 stitches and 30 rounds over 10cm / 4in of stocking stitch worked in the round and blocked, using 4mm / US 6 needles

20 stitches and 26 rounds over 10cm / 4in of Eyelet pattern (see chart on page 3) worked in the round and blocked, using 4mm / US 6 needles

17 stitches and 28 rounds over 10cm / 4in of 1 x 1 rib worked in the round and blocked, using 3.5mm / US 4 needles
