Millie Side Tie Cloche (Crochet)
The Crochet version of my Knit Millie Side Tie Cloche:
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/millie-5
This hat starts with a Long tie that is constructed using the Tunisian “Knit Stitch” Crochet method. For this pattern, you will NOT need a special Tunisian Hook. Only your regular hook is needed.
The hat portion is then picked up from the selvedge stitches of the Tunisian Tie. So the hat is crochet from the bottom up.
For closing up the hat, you will need a second hook (the same size as the one you’re using for the hat) and a Tapestry Needle.
You will need approximately 100-110 yards of a sport weight for the Tunisian Tie and approx. 130-150 yards of worsted weight for the hat portion.
