Knit the Milli Kerchief with any yarn, any needles, any gauge! The Milli Kerchief is perfect for those precious skeins or partial skeins in your stash that have been awaiting a special project. Since you knit it by proportion, you can knit with confidence, knowing you will have enough yarn to finish. Start by weighing your yarn. Then, beginning at the tip, work until desired length from CO tip to beginning of ties, but don’t use more than 50% of your yarn because you will need 25% for each tie (that’s why you weigh your yarn first!). Next, create the left and right ties. The result is a fun kerchief that brings a pop of color and just the right amount of warmth around your neck.

The beauty of the Milli Kerchief is that the neckline is curved, creating a shape that mimics the natural neck contour. This reduces the volume of fabric at the neckline, making it more comfortable to wear while also saving yarn and knitting time!

As written, the kerchief is completely encased in elegant I-cord edging, but if you find this and/or the short row technique a bit too challenging, you can opt for the Easier Options, skipping the I-cord cast-on and the Shadow Wrap Short Rows.
