Last fall my mom & step-dad finally took their long delayed honeymoon trip to Italy. Among the many beautiful photos and souvenirs that they brought home from the trip were several pieces of Millefiori glass. This colorful mosaics were made from dozens or hundreds of pieces of glass cane and each was beautiful to look at.
I designed this wrap based on a necklace my mom brought home for me. In golds, creams, and blues it just shimmered. Although the final wrap was stitched in a different group of colors, I still see the echo of the glass millefiori jewelry.
When I was working on this piece I ended up experimenting with many combinations of colors. I’m including charts for 4 more color options using Willow Daily DK here on Ravelry, including the chart based on the original necklace from my mom.
